Job Requirements

• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing
• New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire
• BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
• Registered Nurse license
• Knowledge and skills from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences

Preferred Membership In Related Professional Organization

• RNs with more than 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time acute care experience

Job Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessments, documents findings, and communicates with healthcare team
• Plans and individualizes patient care, develops goals, and updates care plans
• Provides a safe, respectful environment, recognizes emergencies, and documents interventions
• Evaluates and revises care plans based on patient outcomes and collaborates with families and team
• Administers medications/treatments safely and uses equipment properly
• Identifies areas for self-improvement and functions in relief charge/resource roles as needed
