CoxHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to care for post-operative patients in the PACU CSC at Cox Surgery Center, Springfield, MO. You will monitor anesthesia recovery, assess pain, document care, and ensure airway patency and stability across all ages.

The role emphasizes teamwork, communication, leadership, and adaptability in a fast-paced post-anesthesia setting. Requires Missouri RN license; day shift 0600–1830, 36 weekly hours.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license active in Missouri.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse provides care for post-operative patients of all ages recovering from anesthesia, including general, regional, and local. The nurse evaluates plans, implements, and documents nursing care, assessment for pain, maintains hemodynamic and neurological stability, and maintains a patent airway. Due to the possibility of rapid changes in a patient’s physiological condition, PACU RNs are required to administer diligent care via monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment.

Education

• Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience

• Preferred: Previous nursing experience

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate effective leadership abilities
• Exhibits valuable time management skills
• Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Required: RN license active in the state of Missouri
• Required: BLS must be obtained within 90 days
• Required: Must obtain PALS within one year of hire
• Required: Must obtain ACLS within one year of hire
