The same day surgery nurse oversees and directs the care of pre and post-surgical patients of all ages. The nurse is responsible for the care of patients in all-surgical specialties. The same day surgery nurse assesses overall anesthesia recovery and educates patients and their families about homecare instructions.

Education: Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Experience: Preferred: Previous nursing experience.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days.
• Active Missouri RN license.

Mansioni

• Oversee care of pre- and post-surgical patients in all ages.
• Assess anesthesia recovery and educate families on homecare.

Job Description

Education
