Job summary

McLeod Health Florence is seeking a registered nurse to provide patient-centered care across shifts, including nights. The role requires assessing patient needs, implementing age-appropriate interventions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a high-quality hospital setting.

A BSN or equivalent is preferred, with BLS certification and RN license. The position includes night shifts and weekends as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Advanced resuscitative certification appropriate to population if serving in a charge nurse role.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic analysis, and provide age-appropriate nursing interventions.
• Foster an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors.
• Utilize health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff.
• Utilize standard work in relation to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
• Precept and mentor novice employees to support department growth.
• Contribute to hospital-system initiatives cultivating nursing-involved Evidence Based Practices.
• Demonstrate continued professional growth through goal setting and educational offerings.
• Float to assist in other like units as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
