Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma City is seeking an RN I for the Comprehensive Care days shift on the 3rd Floor Overflow. The RN I provides patient-centered care in a hospital setting, documents responses, administers meds, and supports physicians in examinations and procedures.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, current RN license, BLS certification, and 0-3 years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Current RN license in Oklahoma or multi-state compact (eNLC).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Aligns behaviors with OU Health values and maintains nursing professional practice standards.
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and physician orders.
• Assists physicians in examination and minor diagnostics.
• Monitors patient data, observes changes, and intervenes when needed.
• Administers medications as prescribed and manages IV infusions.
• Provides safe, competent patient care and supports discharge planning.
