Job summary

OU Health on the 3rd Floor Overflow is seeking a Charge RN - Registered Nurse for comprehensive care during night shifts. The role focuses on high-quality patient care in a hospital setting and aligns with OU Health's core values.

The RN I will supervise assigned patients, document interventions, assist physicians, monitor physiological data, administer medications, and ensure safe care while communicating care plans to patients and families. Licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• 0-3 years of RN patient care experience.
• Current RN license (OK State Board or eNLC).
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Align behaviors with OU Health values and maintain nursing professional practice standards.
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, noting changes in physician orders.
• Assists physician in examination and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
• Obtains and monitors physiological data, observes patient status, and intervenes as needed.
• Administers medications as prescribed.
• Initiates, regulates and monitors IV infusions and blood products.
• Delivers patient care safely and competently.
• Informs patient and family of procedures and care plan during care and discharge.
• Fosters growth mindset through mentorship, coaching, and maintaining licensure.
