Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Illinois.
• Clinical nursing and patient care experience.
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD-9 coding.
• Ability to collect blood and specimens.
• Understanding of HIPAA and compliance policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers and clinical staff with examinations, treatments and minor procedures.
• Obtain vital information and prep patients for examinations.
• Draw and collect blood samples and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Document nursing process in the electronic health record.
• Provide telephone triage and follow-up calls for patient health progress.
• Supervise delegated duties to LPN and CMA per approved protocols.
• Ensure clinic procedures align with compliance, safety and risk management.
