The position involves assisting providers during examinations, preparing patients for procedures, drawing blood and collecting specimens, and supervising LPNs/CMA staff within approved protocols.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in Illinois (IDFPR).
• Nursing education background.
• Ability to perform clinical duties under supervision as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider and clinical staff with preparing patients for examination and minor procedures.
• Draw blood and collect specimens for labs as needed.
• Apply the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation).
• Provide telephone triage and home health guidance; follow up on patient progress.
• Complete referrals or lab testing forms with CPT/ICD coding as required.
• Maintain follow-up appointment tracking and documented communication in EHR.
• Supervise delegated duties to LPNs and Ma/CMA per clinical protocols; attend meetings to stay informed.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, OSHA, Safety, Risk Management, HIPAA and related policies.
