Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Must have full, unrestricted license to practice registered nursing in the State of Idaho.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise patient care in a unit.
• Provide individualized patient care based on developmental needs.
• Use a team approach to coordinate patient care at admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Practice safe patient handling techniques.
• Evaluate assigned patients and provide ongoing treatment.
• Identify and respond to educational and emotional needs of patients and families.
• Guide and direct healthcare personnel in caring for patients.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance, and use.
• Utilize safeguards to maximize patient safety.
• Initiate emergency measures such as CPR when needed.
• Assist with patient care tasks (e.g., emptying drainage, ambulating, hygiene).
