Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, Idaho is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the day shift. A current RN license is required, with Idaho residency within 60 days of hire. BLS certification is required at hire; ACLS/PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS.

Additional certifications may be required per SAHS crosswalk. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality nursing care across age groups, documenting care accurately, and collaborating with the care team to develop and evaluate

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• BLS certification required at hire (ACLS/PALS may be accepted instead).
• Multistate licenses must establish Idaho residency within 60 days from hire.
• Other certifications may be required as identified in SAHS Crosswalk.

Responsibilities

• Meets care standards and policy expectations with all coworkers, patients and visitors.
• Demonstrates knowledge to care for Neonate to Geriatric patients as applicable.
• Documents services and supplies accurately for revenue management.
• Complies with hospital safety policies and procedures.
• Performs comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments and documents findings.
• Educates patients based on assessment of needs and plans of care.
• Develops, implements and evaluates a care plan.
• Communicates patient status and plan of care to team members.
• Administers medications and evaluates effectiveness.
• Operates patient care equipment safely and advocates for patient rights.
• Provides nursing measures to alleviate pain and demonstrates therapeutic communication.
• Maintains professional boundaries and follows departmental competencies.
