Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a registered nurse to collaboratively provide high-quality patient care using the nursing process. The role supports various units with supervision under clinical preceptorship for new graduates and a ladder of experience from RN I to RN IV.

The position requires TX license (or temporary/compact), BLS certification, and may demand unit-specific certifications. The nurse will participate in care coordination, discharge planning, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelor's of Nursing preferred.
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be required based on unit needs.
• RN levels: RN I < 1 year; RN II = 1-3 years; RN III = 3-10 years; RN IV = 10+ years.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients using the nursing process and age-appropriate considerations.
• Coordinates care planning with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with healthcare team, guiding and delegating to achieve positive outcomes.
• Develops and implements discharge and transfer plans.
• Participates in program evaluation and process improvement to enhance client outcomes.
• Upholds regulatory standards and departmental policies while ensuring patient and staff safety.
