Job summary

Memorial Hermann is seeking a Registered Nurse to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in delivering high-quality patient care. The nurse will perform nursing assessments, assist with exams and treatments, educate patients, and maintain medical records in a fast-paced clinical setting.

RNs are categorized by experience levels (RN I/II 1–3 yrs; RN III 3–10 yrs; RN IV 10+ yrs). Texas license and BLS are required, with ongoing development and adherence to safety standards emphasized.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN license or compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• RN I/II = 1–3 years, RN III = 3–10 years, RN IV = 10+ years.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients using the nursing process.
• Coordinates planning for nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Mentors and supports less experienced staff; acts as preceptor or resource.
• Ensures compliance with Memorial Hermann policies, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participates in program evaluation, process improvement and quality initiatives.
