Job summary

Medical Services of America Home Health and Hospice in Norton, VA, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Full-Time Clinical Manager role overseeing hospice operations.

The ideal candidate will coordinate staff, manage schedules, and ensure quality patient care with a VA RN license, a bachelor’s degree preferred, and at least two years of nursing experience, plus one year of supervisory work. A valid driver’s license is required. Generous benefits available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years clinical nursing experience.
• Minimum of one year supervisory experience, preferably in a Home Health or Hospice setting.
• Licensed RN in the state of VA.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, processing and assigning staff for all patient referrals.
• Verifying reimbursement source prior to rendering service.
• Preparing monthly schedules for patient care staff under the direct supervision of the clinical manager.
• Distributing prepared schedules to appropriate staff.
• Receiving and verifying weekly schedules against the monthly schedule for accuracy.
• Reviewing schedules daily and rescheduling missed visits.
• Maintaining weekly discharges/recertification dates in schedule book.
• Preparing daily census and weekly visit count productivity reports for administration.
• Keeping accurate records of supervisory visits and mileage sheets.
• Distributing clinical reports to patient care staff as required.

Medical Services of America Home Health and Hospice, a member of the MSA family is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to fill a Full-Time Clinical Manager for our Hospice location in Norton (Wise, Lee, Dickenson, Scott) VA.

• Receiving, processing and assigning the appropriate staff for all patient referrals.
• Verifying reimbursement source prior to rendering service.
• Preparing monthly schedules for patient care staff under the direct supervision of the clinical manager.
• Distributing prepared schedules to appropriate staff.
• Receiving and verifying weekly schedules against the monthly schedule for accuracy.
• Reviewing schedules on a daily basis.
• Rescheduling any missed visits
• Maintaining weekly discharges and/or recertification dates in schedule book.
• Preparing daily census and weekly visit count productivity report for administration.
• Keeping an accurate record of supervisory HHA visits.
• Reviewing mileage sheets and itineraries for accuracy.
• Distributing clinical reports to patient care staff as required.
• Receiving lab reports.
• Assisting with supplementary staffing of patients as required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing preferred.
• Minimum of two years clinical nursing experience required.
• Minimum of one year supervisory experience, preferably in a Home Health or Hospice setting
• Licensed RN in the state of VA.
• Valid driver’s license.
