Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO is seeking a Med-Surg Educator and Patient Experience/Communication Educator to strengthen nursing staff development and patient care.

The role uses the nursing process to assess needs, plan and evaluate care, while delivering didactic and hands-on education. Requires BSN, MO RN license, and at least 2 years' nursing experience; strong communication, leadership, and computer literacy are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Active Missouri RN license required.
• Must complete department-specific certifications within the designated time frame.

Responsibilities

• Provide didactic and hands-on education to support staff development and enhance clinical performance.
• Lead the patient care team toward goal achievement in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy.

This position is for Med-Surg Educator AND Patient Experience/Communication Educator.

Utilizes the nursing process to effectively assess the needs of patients, identify a plan of care, and implement and evaluate the care given. Provides direct and indirect care to patients and leads the patient care team toward goal achievement in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy.
