Job summary

Elite Sports Medicine + Orthopedics in Nashville seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our clinical team. You will work closely with physicians and patients in a fast-paced orthopedic and sports medicine environment.

The role includes preparing patients for exams, performing phlebotomy, administering injections, coordinating tests and referrals, and educating patients throughout the care process. Strong communication, organization, and EMR proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Current Tennessee RN license required.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Comfortable performing phlebotomy and administering injections.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.
• Outpatient orthopedic/sports medicine experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support to physicians and patients throughout the care process.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures.
• Perform blood draws and lab testing as directed.
• Prepare and administer injections within scope of practice.
• Triage patient calls and assess patient needs.
• Communicate patient concerns and clinical information to providers.
• Provide patient education and post-procedure instructions.
• Schedule diagnostic testing, referrals, follow-ups, and procedures.
• Assist with surgery scheduling and pre-certification.
• Coordinate patient care with physical therapy and other care team members.
• Document patient care and communications accurately in the medical record.
• Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
• Provide exceptional patient experience from check-in through follow-up.
