Job summary

Tower Health, a regional healthcare system in Pennsylvania, seeks an experienced RN to provide competent clinical nursing across the life-span and coordinate care with multiple disciplines to improve patient outcomes and optimize care delivery. The role includes ambulatory practice with emphasis on telephonic triage and patient education.

The position requires starting IVs, administering SQ and IV medications, and learning about cardiac devices and heart failure medications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Relevant nursing experience.
• Ability to perform IV insertions and administer SQ/IV medications.

• Provides competent clinical nursing practice across the life-span, facilitates transitions across care settings, and coordinates care delivery with other disciplines for improving patient care quality outcomes as well as decreasing unnecessary utilization and associated costs across patient populations and health care settings.
• Daily ambulatory nursing practice performance primarily is focused on telephonic patient triage, patient education, direct care interventions, collaborative leadership and care coordination.

*Heart Failure RN- must be comfortable starting IV's and administering SQ and IV medication. May occasionally need to give IV Lasix in the office. Must be comfortable with telephone triage and learning about different cardiac devices, HF monitoring devices, and HF medications.
