Beloit Health System at Beloit Clinic is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing Family Practice clinic. The RN will assist the provider with procedures, administer medications, and ensure patient safety in a busy family practice setting.

The role requires Wisconsin licensure (or compact) and Illinois license, CPR within 3 months, and experience with EMR systems. Shifts are 1st shift, 8a–5p, 40 hours per week with benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• ADN, Diploma, BSN, or MSN degree acceptable.
• Wisconsin nursing licensure (or compact license) and Illinois license required; compact license requires initiation of Wisconsin licensure within 30 days from start date.
• CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
• Prior experience with electronic medical records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with procedures and nursing care.
• Navigate and use computer software applications accurately.
• Handle and triage department calls.
• Administer and monitor medications.
• Maintain adequate supplies and equipment.
• Assess basic physical, psychological and social needs of patients and families.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Adhere to infection control procedures and safety protocols.
• Document electronic and/or paper medical records.
• May draw blood, perform simple lab procedures and EKGs.
• Assist with patient paperwork (FMLA, disability forms).

This Registered Nurse Clinic in Family Practice will provide nursing care and perform procedures as necessary for patient care. T he Registered Nurse Clinic will:

• - Assists provider with procedures and provides necessary nursing care and procedures as necessary
• - Demonstrates the ability to navigate and perform functions accurately and efficiently with computer software applications
• - Receives and handles telephone calls to department
• - Administers and maintains current medications
• - Consistently uses good judgment and professional communication in accommodating patients' needs
• - Ensures appropriate and adequate supplies are on hand
• - Appropriately assesses basic physical psychological and social needs of patients and their families
• - Provides patient and family education appropriately
• - Strictly adheres to infection control procedures including body substance isolation and bloodborne pathogen precautions
• - Ensures patient safety while handling, transporting, and providing medications to patients
• - Protect patients from various hazards, falls, diseases exposures, etc.
• - Participates in quality assurance activities initiates and maintains accurate electronic and/or paper medical records
• - May draw blood and perform simple laboratory procedures and EKGs
• - Assists with completing patient paperwork including FMLA, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, etc.

Job Requirements:

• - Graduate of accredited school of nursing
• - ADN, Diploma, BSN, or MSN degree acceptable.
• - State of Wisconsin nursing licensure, compact license or temporary permit required. (If a compact license, application for a State of Wisconsin nursing license must be initiated in no more than 30 days from start date).
• - State of Illinois nursing license.
• - Must be CPR certified within 3 months of hire.
• - Prior experience working with electronic medical records is preferred.
