Job summary

Beloit Health System at Beloit Clinic is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Urology clinic and provide patient-centered nursing care. You will work closely with physicians, APPs, and staff to support procedures and ongoing patient education.

The role requires nursing licensure in Wisconsin, CPR eligibility, and experience with EMR; Urology experience is a plus. Schedule is 8a-5p with some Saturdays, 40 hours per week, benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• State of Wisconsin nursing licensure or compact license.
• CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
• Experience with electronic medical records and Urology a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with procedures and provide nursing care as needed.
• Navigate computer software applications and document accurately.
• Answer department phone calls and triage patient needs.
• Administer and manage medications.
• Educate patients and families appropriately about conditions and care.
• Maintain infection control procedures and safety standards.
• Ensure supplies are stocked and patient records are complete.
• May perform basic lab procedures and EKGs.

Beloit Health System at Beloit Clinic is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing Urology clinic. In this role, you will work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff to deliver exceptional care to patients with a variety of urologic conditions.

• Shift: 1st
• Schedule: 8a-5p, occasional Saturday hours
• Hours per week: 40 hours per week

This Registered Nurse Clinic in Urology will provide nursing care and perform procedures as necessary for patient care.

Registered Nurse Clinic In Urology Will

• Assists provider with procedures and provides necessary nursing care and procedures as necessary
• Demonstrates the ability to navigate and perform functions accurately and efficiently with computer software applications
• Receives and handles telephone calls to department
• Administers and maintains current medications
• Consistently uses good judgment and professional communication in accommodating patients' needs
• Ensures appropriate and adequate supplies are on hand
• Appropriately assesses basic physical psychological and social needs of patients and their families
• Provides patient and family education appropriately
• Strictly adheres to infection control procedures including body substance isolation and bloodborne pathogen precautions
• Ensures patient safety while handling, transporting, and providing medications to patients
• Protect patients from various hazards, falls, diseases exposures, etc.
• Participates in quality assurance activities initiates and maintains accurate electronic and/or paper medical records
• May draw blood and perform simple laboratory procedures and EKGs
• Assists with completing patient paperwork including FMLA, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, etc.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing
• ADN, Diploma, BSN, or MSN degree acceptable.
• State of Wisconsin nursing licensure, compact license or temporary permit required. (If a compact license, application for a State of Wisconsin nursing license must be initiated in no more than 30 days from start date).
• Must be CPR certified within 3 months of hire.
• Prior experience working with electronic medical records and experience in Urology preferred.
