Job summary

Novant Health in Charleston, SC seeks an experienced RN to join the opening team at the Clements Ferry Emergency Department. This 24/7 freestanding ED provides advanced imaging, on-site lab, and a collaborative care environment designed to shape patient care from day one.

The role is full time nights (7pm–7am, 36 hours) with opportunities to float to comparable units. Requirements include an unrestricted RN license, 3+ years in emergency nursing, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and TNCC within one year; NRP is

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN license.
• 3+ years of emergency nursing experience.
• Successful completion of nursing service orientation program.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
• NRP preferred (provided during training if not currently certified)
• TNCC required within one year of hire.
• IV therapy competency within one year.
• Annual participation in Skills Fair and completion of required competencies.
• Specialty certification and/or participation in professional nursing organizations encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and/or indirect nursing care under the direction of the Department Director and/or Charge Nurse.
• Delivers safe, effective, and professional nursing care to assigned patients.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the healthcare needs of patients.
• Cares for a diverse patient population, from infants to geriatrics.
• Works collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Maintains a customer-focused approach and supports department goals.
• Delivers nursing care aligned with established practice standards and clinical guidelines.
• Must be willing and able to float to comparable nursing units as needed.

What You'll Do
