Chester County Intermediate Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Student Services team at the Engle Education Center in West Grove, PA. The role supports students with special needs in a nurturing learning environment.

The ideal candidate has an RN license, a Bachelor’s in nursing (or completion of an RN program), CPR/First Aid, and clearances. Responsibilities include medication administration, tube feedings, tracheostomy care, and emergency response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or RN program completed.
• Current registered nurse licensure required.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Background clearances (police, child abuse, FBI) within the past year.

Responsibilities

• Administer tube feedings daily.
• Administer medications as prescribed by a doctor.
• Document prescription medication administration in EMR.
• Implement seizure precautions and treatments.
• Attend field trips and community activities.
• Provide tracheostomy care and tube replacement if needed.
• Assist with toileting routines in the nurse's office.
• Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries/illnesses.
• Implement nursing care plans as prescribed.
• Fulfill other assigned duties.

Job description

A vacancy for a Registered Nurse currently exists within the Student Services division of the Chester County Intermediate Unit. The position is located at the Engle Education Center in West Grove, PA. Duties & Responsibilities

• Administer tube feedings.
• Administer medications as prescribed by a doctor on a daily basis.
• Documentation of prescription medication administration to students in electronic medical system.
• Implement seizure precautions and treatments.
• Attend field trips and community-based trips.
• Provide tracheostomy care and, if needed, replacement of tracheostomy tube.
• Support with toileting routines in the nurse's office.
• Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
• Implement nursing care plans as prescribed.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing OR RN program completed required
• Current registered nurse licensure required.
• Experience working with special needs children preferred.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Current police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required (must be dated within one year of hire date).

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 7.5 hours per day; 185 days per year

Salary

RN Rate: Support Hay, Level 13: $31.35 - $41.55/hr.
