Job summary

The Chester County Intermediate Unit invites applications for a Registered Nurse at the Engle Education Center in West Grove, PA. This full-time role supports students within the Student Services division and involves administering medications, tube feedings, and tracheostomy care as part of a dedicated nursing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (or RN program completed) is required.
• CPR/First Aid certification current.
• Clearances (police, child abuse, FBI) dated within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Administer tube feedings as needed.
• Provide tracheostomy care and care for tracheostomy tubes.
• Document medication administration in electronic medical system.
• Attend field trips and community-based activities.
• Provide first aid and emergency care.
• Implement nursing care plans as prescribed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Administer tube feedings.
• Administer medications as prescribed by a doctor on a daily basis.
• Documentation of prescription medication administration to students in electronic medical system.
• Implement seizure precautions and treatments.
• Attend field trips and community-based trips.
• Provide tracheostomy care and, if needed, replacement of tracheostomy tube.
• Support with toileting routines in the nurse's office.
• Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
• Implement nursing care plans as prescribed.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing OR RNprogram completed required
• Experience working with special needs children preferred.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Current police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required (must be dated within one year of hire date).
