Job summary

The Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Child & Career Development Center in Coatesville, PA. Join Team CCIU to support students, families and the community with compassionate nursing care and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities include administering medications, tube feedings, tracheostomy care, and on-site first aid. Must have nursing licensure and appropriate clearances; 185-day schedule with school-year hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or LPN program completed.
• Current RN licensure or LPN licensure.
• Experience with special needs children preferred.
• Clearances: police, child abuse and FBI fingerprint within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer tube feedings.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Document medication administration in electronic medical system.
• Implement seizure precautions and treatments.
• Attend field trips and community-based trips.
• Provide tracheostomy care and tube replacement if needed.
• Support toileting routines in the nurse's office.
• Provide first aid and emergency care.
• Implement nursing care plans as prescribed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Administer tube feedings.
• Administer medications as prescribed by a doctor on a daily basis.
• Documentation of prescription medication administration to students in electronic medical system.
• Implement seizure precautions and treatments.
• Attend field trips and community-based trips.
• Provide tracheostomy care and, if needed, replacement of tracheostomy tube.
• Support with toileting routines in the nurse's office.
• Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
• Implement nursing care plans as prescribed.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required OR LPN program completed required
• Current registered nurse licensure required OR LPN licensure required
• Experience working with special needs children preferred.
• Current police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required (must be dated within one year of hire date).

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7.5 hours per day; 185 days per year

Support Level 11: $24.82 - $32.90
