Halifax Health in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab/DOCU on a PRN basis. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, directing and coordinating care with LPNs, CNAs, and clerical staff.
Responsibilities include medication administration, patient teaching, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The role requires a Florida RN license, with a bachelor’s degree preferred, and completion of unit and general orientation.
The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating as per the nursing process. The Registered Nurse is expected to direct, delegate, and coordinate all nursing care provided by the LPN, CNA, Patient Care Companion, and Unit Clerk consistent with their roles, responsibilities, and skill level. Assignments are performed appropriately to age and development level of the patient population being served.
The PRN position will provide shift coverage in cath lab or DOCU as needed. The department is open M-F with call requirements after hours, weekends, and holidays. There will case coverage at the UF/Halifax Deltona Hospital at times.
