Job summary

HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital in Sanford, FL is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab RN to deliver direct nursing care per policy and procedure. You will coordinate care across disciplines, implement care plans, and follow physician and nursing orders while ensuring safe patient discharge planning.

Requirements include a Florida RN license, 1+ year acute care experience, nursing degree (BSN preferred), and timely completion of NIH Stroke Scale, BCLS, and ACLS within specified windows.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license or approved multistate license is required.
• 1+ year of RN experience in an acute care environment is preferred.
• Registered Nurse Diploma or an Associate Degree; BSN is preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start.
• ACLS Provider certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start.
• BCLS (or instructor) must be obtained within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab RN to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. You will proactively assume responsibility and accountability for several patients during a designated time frame while following policies and procedures. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.

In this role you will:

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Job Requirements:

• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
• 1+ years of RN experience in an acute care environment preferred
• Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, BSN is preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of start
• American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required within 6 months of employment start date
• Interventional Cath Lab or critical care experience preferred
• 30 minute call window
