Job summary

Ascension Seton Williamson Hospital in Round Rock, TX, is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. This full-time day shift role involves direct patient care during diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab, with responsibilities to assess, prepare, monitor and communicate with physicians throughout the process.

Minimum requirements include RN licensure and BLS; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required prior to hire.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS preferred but not required at hire.
• Diploma in nursing or equivalent required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.
• Assess, prepare and position patients; monitor vital signs during procedures.
• Communicate patient status to physician before, during and after procedures.
• Support equipment setup and post-procedure care.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.

• Assess, prepare and position patients for procedures. Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.
• Prepare, implement and document plan of care. Communicate patient's condition to physician before, during and after procedures.
• Perform and/or facilitates diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.
• Perform, set up, and provide equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.
