Job summary

HCA HealthONE in Englewood, CO is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab to influence patient care and support outcomes through collaboration with management and hospital councils.

The role involves routine radiology equipment care, patient education, and on-call duties for emergency cardiac cases, with emphasis on cardiovascular procedures and data interpretation.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Colorado RN license with current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a specialty unit (critical care, ED, PACU, or radiology) preferred.
  • Proficiency in cardiology nursing procedures and rhythm interpretation preferred.
  • Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, hemodynamics, and rhythm interpretation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for routine care and maintenance of radiological equipment, and for maintaining required cath lab competencies and assisting in all aspects of invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.
  • Explain procedures to patients to help alleviate anxiety.
  • Work within a team environment and be willing to assume “on call” assignments and return to the facility within 30 minutes for emergency cases.
  • Handle emergency situations during high‑risk procedures, maintaining discretion and confidentiality.
  • Interact with physicians during routine procedures and emergencies, assisting with interpretation and recording of data collected.
  • Administer necessary medications per doctor’s orders while the patient is in the lab.
  • Manage and communicate pre‑procedure patient preparation and post‑procedure processes, including recovery, outpatient appointments, discharge information regarding medication, lifestyle, activities, and care of the surgical site.

Job Summary
