The IMA Group in Houston is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Case Manager (RN) for Workers' Compensation on a 1099 Independent Contractor basis. This hybrid field-based role involves local travel and remote documentation to support injured workers and employers.

Ideal candidates hold an active Texas RN license with 3+ years in workers' compensation field case management, strong assessment and communication skills, and the ability to manage a flexible caseload independently while

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely, detailed case management reports.
• Support return-to-work and transitional duty planning.

What You'll Do
As a Field Nurse Case Manager, you'll coordinate medical care for injured workers and act as the connective tissue between providers, employers, adjusters, and attorneys:

• Coordinate and oversee medical treatment plans
• Attend appointments and evaluate treatment progression
• Communicate across providers, employers, attorneys, and carriers
• Assess medical necessity and appropriateness of care
• Prepare timely, detailed case management reports
• Support return-to-work and transitional duty planning
• Coordinate IMEs and job site evaluations

What You Bring

• Active Texas RN license
• 3+ years of Workers' Comp Field Case Management experience
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Comfort working independently with a flexible caseload
• Proficiency with electronic documentation systems
• Reliable transportation across the greater Houston area
• Malpractice insurance, or the ability to obtain it
• CCM, CRRN, or similar certification a plus — bilingual candidates encouraged
