CoxHealth is seeking skilled RN Float Pool nurses for the Night Shift at our Springfield, MO campuses. You will provide high-level care across medical-surgical and rehab floors, collaborate with specialists, and support a patient-centered team environment in one of the Midwest’s most affordable cities.

The role offers a 12-hour night schedule, flexible shifts, and opportunities for professional growth and leadership involvement within a Magnet-recognized facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Missouri RN license active.
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days; ACLS within one year.

Responsibilities

• Manage care of adult and geriatric patients across MS floors.
• Assess patient condition, administer medications, change dressings.
• Monitor vital signs and document care; provide patient education.
• Collaborate with physicians and team for optimal outcomes.

Job Description:

The float Medical-Surgical nurse is responsible for managing the care of the adult or geriatric patient experiencing general medical conditions or general surgical procedures. The nurse must be able to assess patient condition, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, keep records and provide patients and families with support and education. The Medical-Surgical nurse maintains a wide array of medical care knowledge in order to care for a diverse group of patients.

Education:

• Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience:

• Preferred: Previous nursing experience

Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate effective leadership abilities
• Exhibits valuable time management skills
• Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Required: RN license active in the state of Missouri
• Required: BLS must be obtained within 90 days
• Must obtain ACLS within one year of hire.
