Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate or diploma RN with licensure in Ohio.
• Active Ohio RN license.
• BSN preferred; if no BSN/MSN, must enroll within 1 year of hire and complete within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
• Support leadership in compliance and safety across the department and hospital.
• Monitor safety policies and ensure certifications and Safety College requirements are fulfilled on time.
• Collaborate with managers and magnet representatives to share safety best practices.
• Communicate safety concerns to leadership.
• Provide patient care with clinical judgment using algorithms and protocols.
• Document plan of care and patient/family outcomes.
• Offer structured education to patients and families; use teach-back.
• Participate in interprofessional practice and governance to advance high-quality pediatric care.
