Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Registered Nurse at Ascension St. Vincent's Southside Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. This night, full-time role requires active RN licensure in Florida and BLS certification.

You will deliver patient-centered care, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and drive discharge planning to ensure safe patient transitions between care settings. Comprehensive health coverage, a 403(b) retirement plan, and tuition reimbursement are among the benefits.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire: American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• RN credentialed from Florida Board of Nursing prior to hire.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or equivalent licensure at hire.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by following established clinical standards and evidence-based protocols.
• Drive the implementation of patient care plans, pro-actively monitoring status and documenting progress to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Act as the primary coordinator for multidisciplinary teams, facilitating seamless communication and well-integrated treatment.
• Execute physician and nursing orders with precision, serving as a critical link in the clinical decision-making process.
• Lead the discharge planning process in collaboration with the health-care team to ensure a safe and successful transition for every patient.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
