Job summary

Ascension Providence Medical Center in Waco, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the night shift on a full-time basis (36 hours, 3 x 12-hour shifts, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., rotating weekends). A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is offered.

The Cardiovascular department requires BLS within 30 days and Texas RN licensure, with a nursing diploma or equivalent licensure at hire. You will provide direct patient care, coordinate with the medical team, document in the EHR, assess changes, and assist with

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date.
• Licensed Clinical Registered Nurse credential from Texas Board of Nursing.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or equivalent licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse, assessing needs and implementing care plans.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, documenting assessments and progress in the EHR.
• Assess patient conditions, communicate changes, and carry out orders to support safety and quality improvement.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse by assessing patient needs, implementing individualized care plans, and promoting safe, high-quality clinical outcomes.

• Coordinate patient care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team while documenting assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

• Assess patient conditions, communicate clinical changes promptly, and carry out physician and nursing orders to support patient safety and quality improvement.

• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate discharge planning, ensure continuity of care, and deliver exceptional patient-centered care.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Licensed Clinical Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
