Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Critical Care

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Critical Care unit, specializing in post-operative heart surgery care, including handling patients from the OR, CRRT, Impella, and IAPB.

Requirements:

• Must have recent heart surgery experience.
• Travel required within a 75-mile radius, but local candidates are also welcome.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU experience documented in resume.
• Two recent ICU Charge/Manager RN references.
• Skills checklist matching the specialty.
• Valid driver’s license with matching address.
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications.
• Active NY license verified through NURSYS report.
• RTO included at time of submission.
• EMR experience with EPIC required.

Job Details:

• Unit: ICU
• Shift: 6:30 am - 7:00 pm (block scheduling not guaranteed)
• Floating: Yes, to all units except Behavioral and ER (unless holding)
• Scrub color: Navy
• Unit specifics: 6 beds in CTICU, common diagnoses include CV surgery, Cardiogenic Shock, AAA
• Equipment used: IABP, CRRT (PRISMA or NxStage), Ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, TTM (Artic Sun)
