Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center in Carmel, IN is seeking qualified nursing staff for part-time day shifts. This role focuses on direct patient care within a cardiovascular inpatient setting, coordinating multidisciplinary care and discharge planning to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license in Indiana, a current BLS certification, and a nursing diploma. Two years of cardiovascular experience is preferred, with a commitment to high-quality patient care within

• BLS Provider required within 1 month of hire/transfer, accepted by AHA or ARC.
• RN credentialed by Indiana Board of Nursing prior to hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per Heart Center policies and protocols.
• Coordinate care across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Record and communicate patient condition; carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team.

Schedule: Part Time Days | 7:00am to 7:00pm | 2 days per week

How you'll make an impact in this role

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization specific to the Heart Center.

• Implement and monitors patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s):

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

What additional requirements you'll need

Prefer at least 2 yrs cardiovascular experience in a high acuity inpatient hospital.
