Responsibilities include

Providing specialized nursing care to cardiac patients in a step-down setting, monitoring patient conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing; require 1+ years of RN inpatient experience. Associate Degree holders must obtain a Bachelor’s within five years. Valid Illinois RN license, CPR certification, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (within one year of start) are required.

Skills and Certifications

Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and effective communication. Certifications in CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS ensure readiness for patient care challenges.
