Job summary

Boston Medical Center South is recruiting a Registered Nurse MNA for the Med/Surg- Cardiac Telemetry unit. The role supports 32 hours per week, daytime shifts with every other weekend, delivering patient-centered nursing care across age groups and clinical needs.

The RN will rely on strong assessment, clinical skills and communication to ensure high-quality care, teaching and collaborative planning within a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred); Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• License/Certifications: Current RN MA license & BLS required
• Experience: 1-2 years of acute Med/Surg experience strongly preferred in hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care from infant to elderly with individualized considerations.
• Assume responsibility for patient outcomes including health maintenance, teaching, counseling and collaborative planning.
• Demonstrate excellent assessment, clinical and organizational skills; maintain computer proficiency and accurate documentation.

Registered Nurse MNA

Department: Med/Surg- Cardiac Telemetry

Schedule: 32 Hours, Days, Every Other Weekend

Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse provides care that addresses the specific needs of age groups from infant to elderly and is also individualized to a variety of needs specific to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, non-English speaking, and potential victims of abuse. The Registered Nurse incorporates knowledge and understanding of our commitment to patient rights, our mission vision and values into nursing practice.

The Registered Nurse assumes full and ultimate responsibility for the quality of nursing care she/he provides to individuals and groups. Included in such responsibility is health maintenance, teaching, counseling, collaborative planning and restoration of optimal functioning and comfort or for the dignified death of those they serve. The Registered Nurse, within the parameters of his/her generic and continuing education experience, may delegate nursing acuities to other registered nurses and/or health care personnel, provided that the delegating Registered Nurse shall bear full and ultimate responsibility for the patient outcomes.

The Registered Nurse must have excellent assessment skills, clinical skills, organizational skills, and computer knowledge and charge capabilities. The Registered Nurse must be able to lift, transfer and move patients. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in the English language. Able to complete mathematical computations required to perform treatment protocols.

Requirements:

Compensation Range:

$38.86- $80.77

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer.
