Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse in Cardiac Telemetry for full-time night shift in Fort Worth, TX. The Telemetry unit handles general medical/surgical patients with a 5:1 patient/nurse ratio and Magnet designation.

The RN will provide care using the Nursing Process, participate in ongoing education, and support growth and advancement within a team-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing.
• BCLS training prior to patient care; maintained quarterly.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire; CPI within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year RN experience or completion of an RN residency; telemetry/Med/Surg experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Assess the patient and plan care.
• Intervene as appropriate and evaluate interventions.
• Incorporate age-appropriate safety and infection control.
• Maintain continuity of patient care across shifts and transitions.

Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7p - 7a shift

Department Highlights

• 28 bed Telemetry Department provides telemetry and Med/Surg level of care for the general medical/surgical, endocrine GI/renal patient population ages Adult to Geriatric
• 5:1 patient to nurse ratio on days and 5:1 on nights working 12-hour shifts

Here’s What You Need

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
• BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• ACLS – within 90 days of hire required
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire
• 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
• Current Telemetry and/or Med/Surg experience preferred
