Indiana University Health is seeking passionate, experienced registered nurses to join our team on the .9 FTE NIGHT shift in a 29-bed Medical/Surgical unit focused on cardiovascular diagnoses including heart failure, myocardial infarction, and COPD.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Indiana or Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Exceptions: candidates with >2 years acute care experience may be considered.
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA is required.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care to cardiovascular patients on a 29-bed unit.
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and document care thoroughly.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and case managers to optimize outcomes.
• Support new graduates and participate in unit initiatives and quality projects.

IU Methodist's A3North is hiring for a full-time .9 FTE NIGHT shift position! This is a 29-bed Medical/Surgical unit where the focus is the care of patients with cardiovascular diagnoses including congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). 3North also focuses on the treatment of post interventional cardiovascular surgery patients including CABG, valve replacement, heart catheterization, and peripheral vascular surgeries such as revascularization and amputations.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
