Indiana University Health is seeking experienced nurses for the Neuro Trauma Surgical Progressive Care Unit at Methodist Hospital. This night shift, full-time position focuses on high-acuity care in a PCU with a strong emphasis on teamwork and patient-centered outcomes.

• This position is referral eligible and currently qualifies for a NEW hourly location differential in addition to standard shift and holiday differentials.

Neuro Trauma Surgical Progressive Care Unit:

• Highly specialized assessment skills

• Care of patient on an epilepsy monitoring unit
• Management of multiple drains/tubes
• Pain management
• Care of the stroke patient/NIHSS certification

Qualifications

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Education: The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
