Job summary

Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center is seeking an RN to join the 39-bed Cardiac Telemetry Unit. You will care for complex cardiac patients, develop specialized skills, and contribute to a team shaping cardiovascular care.

Qualifications

• One year of acute nursing experience required.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• If RN license has been inactive for five years or more and not licensed in another state during the last five years, completion of a Board-approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care across cardiac conditions such as heart surgery, catheterizations, chest pain, NSTEMIs, and dysrhythmia management.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Prioritize and manage patient needs in a supportive team environment.
• Educate patients and families while coordinating care plans.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Bachelor’s degree preferred

RN license reinstatement policy if inactive for five years

Location: Forsyth Medical Center | Winston-Salem, NC

Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)

What We‘re Looking For:

• Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: One year of acute nursing experience required.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration:
  • Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
