We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide professional nursing services within a high-acuity Burn Center at a major Department of Defense medical facility in San Antonio. Previous Burn Center/Burn ICU experience is NOT required. Candidates with strong Adult Medical-Surgical Telemetry or equivalent acute-care nursing experience are encouraged to apply. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Med-Surg/Telemetry RNs to expand their clinical skills into specialized burn care. The facility is the Department of Defense's largest inpatient hospital and only Level I Trauma Center, providing care in a fast-paced environment alongside military, civilian, and contract healthcare professionals.
Please note: Burn Unit experience is not required. The required clinical experience is based on Adult Med-Surg Telemetry or equivalent nursing experience. ACLS/ALS is specifically required for healthcare workers assigned to the Burn Center.
This is a 24/7 inpatient operation requiring rotating 12-hour shifts. Day Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM Night Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Sunday through Saturday coverage Day and night shift availability required Up to approx 36-40 hours per week Rotating schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, and federal holidays.
