Branson Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit offers an exciting opportunity to care for a diverse population of higher-acuity patients in a collaborative, team-focused environment. Similar to a cardiac/neuro telemetry unit, our nurses provide specialized care while maintaining a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5, allowing for meaningful patient interactions and exceptional care. Our tiered acuity model gives nurses the opportunity to build advanced clinical skills by caring for patients requiring therapies such as BiPAP, Optiflow, cardiac infusions, and insulin drips. They assess the patient’s condition, perform diagnostic tests, begin treatments and assist doctors with any required medical procedures. The critical care nurse monitors and adjusts specialized equipment, interprets and records electronic displays; i.e. intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, pulmonary artery pressures, cardiac rhythms, ventilator settings, etc. Education: Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Experience: Preferred: Previous nursing experience Skills:
