Job summary

CoxMedical Center Branson, part of CoxHealth, seeks an experienced Intensive Care Unit nurse to work the night shift in Branson, MO. You will provide direct, compassionate care to critically ill patients and collaborate with an experienced team to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Active Missouri RN license required; BLS within 90 days; ACLS within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and individualized care to acutely and critically ill patients in a highly monitored ICU setting.
• Monitor and interpret complex patient data and adjust treatments as directed by clinicians.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
• Support patients and families through critical care journeys and education.

The critical care nurse provides direct and individualized care to acutely and critically ill patients, in a highly technical and ongoing monitoring environment. They assess the patient's condition, perform diagnostic tests, begin treatments and assist doctors with any required medical procedures. The critical care nurse monitors and adjusts specialized equipment, interprets and records electronic displays; i.e. intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, pulmonary artery pressures, cardiac rhythms, ventilator settings, etc.

Education:

• Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Experience:

• Preferred: Previous nursing experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate effective leadership abilities
• Exhibits valuable time management skills
• Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
