Job summary

CoxHealth’s Intensive Care Unit in Branson, MO, is hiring a dedicated ICU nurse for a day shift (630 am–7 pm) with a 36-hour week. Join a collaborative team focused on high-quality patient care and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• Active Missouri RN license.
• BLS required within 90 days; ACLS within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to acutely and critically ill ICU patients.
• Monitor and interpret patient conditions and monitor critical care equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to plan and implement treatments.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced environment.

The critical care nurse provides direct and individualized care to acutely and critically ill patients, in a highly technical and ongoing monitoring environment. They assess the patient’s condition, perform diagnostic tests, begin treatments and assist doctors with any required medical procedures. The critical care nurse monitors and adjusts specialized equipment, interprets and records electronic displays; i.e. intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, pulmonary artery pressures, cardiac rhythms, ventilator settings, etc.

Education:
Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience:
Preferred: Previous nursing experience
