Registered Nurse, Behavioral Health (Days)

Join Wellbridge Healthcare, a 72‑bed hospital in Fort Worth, Texas and part of Lifepoint Health, as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Behavioral Health. This full‑time day position offers the opportunity to provide high‑quality care and support patients in a fast‑moving psychiatric environment.

Base pay range: $10.00/hr - $10.00/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience).

Responsibilities
  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
  • Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
  • Assesses the patient and plans care within set timeframes and documents findings according to policies.
  • Oversees and supervises the shift.
  • Demonstrates leadership through duties that may include delegating tasks such as groups, close observation, meal supervision, etc.
  • Oversees staff to ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and exemplary patient care is consistently delivered by self and all team members.
  • Monitors patient for change of condition and responds accordingly up to and including notification of the physician.
  • Follows hospital policy for medication administration.
  • Consistently uses empathy, dignity, and respect when interacting with patients.
  • Delivers quality nursing care to ensure that goals of the treatment plan are properly executed following hospital policies and procedures and demonstrated nursing competencies.
  • Assists/performs comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients.

Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in nursing required.
  • Current Registered Nurse license as required by state regulations in which the facility operates.
  • Preferred: 1‑year experience in a psychiatric health care facility.
  • Preferred: Direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients.
  • Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.
  • CPR certification required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
  • De‑escalation certification required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
