Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Springfield, MO is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Rapid Access Unit. You will provide nursing care across behavioral health settings, assess health needs, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans.

The role emphasizes patient education, coordination of care, and adherence to safety standards. Willingness to expand licensure and provide telehealth is required.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensed in the state of practice.
• Willing to become licensed in additional states and provide telehealth services.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred for FQHC.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and evaluate client health conditions based on service requirements.
• Complete initial medical histories and vital signs, coordinating action plans based on results.
• Monitor health status and coordinate care with treatment teams as per client needs.
• Create action plans addressing both physical and mental health treatment needs.
• Administer and monitor medications according to state and service line standards while educating clients about their benefits.
• Collaborate with physicians and consult with advanced practice providers for comprehensive client management.
• Oversee infectious disease control and ensure client hygiene practices are maintained.
• Arrange medical appointments and handle emergencies, ensuring client safety at all times.
• Provide health education and disease prevention strategies to clients.
• Complete timely documentation as required by company policies and procedures.
