Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Columbia, MO seeks a Nurse (LPN or RN) for the Behavioral Crisis Center. The role provides 24/7 nursing services to clients in a high‑needs crisis setting, with full‑time hours and a Wednesday–Friday night schedule.

Your duties span assessments, care coordination, med administration, and health education as part of a multidisciplinary team. The position requires Missouri RN or LPN licensure, completion of background checks, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Active Missouri RN or LPN license.
• Experience in behavioral health or crisis settings is preferred.
• Ability to perform comprehensive nursing assessments.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments per service line requirements with clinical competence.
• Evaluate patients' physical condition and need for services.
• Monitor health status during services and coordinate care with the treatment team.
• Administer and oversee medications per service line requirements; ensure compliance with regulations.
• Document timely and accurately per policies.
• Support disease prevention and health education.
• Arrange or monitor medical appointments and manage emergencies.
• Oversee infection control and patient hygiene within the unit.
• Review medications with patients and guardians and provide education.
