Job summary

Asante is seeking an experienced Neuro/Ortho RN in Medford, Oregon. This 0.9 FTE, full-time, day-patterned position on the Neuro/Ortho unit offers a 34-bed Neuro/Ortho plus Total Joint Replacement program with day and night shift coverage.

You will pursue certifications such as SCRN, CMSRN, CNRN, ONC, HNC, and MSN RN-BC while delivering high-quality nursing care in a supportive team environment. External candidates may qualify for relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• RN licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing required upon start.
• BLS certification required upon start.
• Experience in Neuro/Ortho preferred; ACUTE patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Neuro/Ortho patient care with RN ratios 1:4–1:5 on day shift and 1:5–1:6 on night shift.
• Work towards certifications: SCRN, CMSRN, CNRN, ONC, HNC, MSN RN-BC.

Salary Range: $53.99 - $77.79

Shift Differentials

• $2.50 extra for working between 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• $10.00 extra for working between 11:01pm and 7:00am
• $2.50 extra for working weekends

Position Summary

The Neuroscience and Orthopedics unit is made up of a 34 bed Neuro/Ortho and Total Joint Replacement Program Unit. RN to patient ratios for both units are 1:4 -1:5 on day shift and 1:5 - 1:6 on night shift.

As a Neuro/Ortho RN at Asante, you will have an opportunity to:

• Work towards becoming an Orthopedic Certified Nurse
• Work towards becoming a Stroke Certified Nurse
• Become a Medical/Surgical Certified Nurse
• Be a Certified Trainer for Nursing Students/New Graduates

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred

Experience

• Previous Neuro/Ortho experience preferred
• Charge Nurse experience preferred
• Experience in an acute patient care environment preferred

Licensure/Certifications

• RN: Registered Nurse licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) required upon start
• BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start

Preferred Certifications

• CNRN: Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse
• CMSRN: Certified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse
