Shift Differentials:
Position Details: This is a physically intensive position requiring ability to lift, push, pull, move 50+LBS frequently throughout all 12hr shifts. It is a small unit with limited ability to adjust to special schedule demands/restrictions. Rehab patient acuity has increased drastically over the last couple of years, heavy emphasis on nursing assessment w/o continuous monitoring equipment & floating to other Med Surg units is a required.
The Inpatient Rehabilitation Center (IRC) is a multidisciplinary distinct-part facility located in the 2 West unit of the hospital. It serves referrals from outside and within Asante facilities. Comprised of 15 beds, the unit includes space for therapy (gym, kitchen, and so forth) and a dining room. The predominant diagnoses are stroke (37%), spinal cord (16%), LE amputation (7%) and multi-trauma (7%). It is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
