Job summary

Novant Health’s Leland Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a supportive team focused on patient-centered care in an Ambulatory Surgery setting. The role involves evaluating patients on entry, administering pre-op meds, and guiding perioperative teaching through post-op recovery, with advocacy for a smooth patient experience.

Required 2-year/associate degree (required); 4-year/bachelor's degree preferred. One year ASC/PACU/OR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a thorough understanding of the RN role and be able to perform functions as per the state nurse practice act.
• Ability to set priorities and organize workload of the unit.
• Knowledge to modify care for age-specific needs.
• Ability to interpret information to identify patient requirements by age.

• Schedule: FT, 6:30am-2:30pm

What We're Looking For

• Education
  • 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
• Experience
  • One year of ASC, PACU or operating room experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification
  • Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
  • ACLS and PALS, preferred.
• Additional Skills (required)
  • Must have a thorough understanding of role of RN and the ability to carry out the functions as stated in the appropriate relevant state nurse practice act. Ability to set priorities and organize workload of unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient’s age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Proficient in telephone screening and interviewing skills.
