Job summary

Midwest Nephrology Associates is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our outpatient vascular access team. You will perform pre- and post-procedure assessments, administer moderate sedation, educate patients, and ensure safe, compassionate care throughout the patient’s surgical experience.

This physician-owned practice offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or calls, 1:1 patient ratios, and employer-paid BLS/ACLS certifications, fostering a collaborative environment and balanced work-life.

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN license or eligible for endorsement.
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred; employer-paid upon hire if needed.
• Experience in outpatient procedural settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pre- and post-procedure nursing assessments.
• Administer and monitor moderate (conscious) sedation under physician direction.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including education and informed consent.
• Monitor patients during procedure and recovery.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Coordinate care with dialysis centers, hospitals, and referring providers.
• Document patient care and physician orders accurately.
• Maintain HIPAA, CMS, accreditation standards, and facility policies.
• Serve as a clinical resource and provide leadership support when needed.

Position Summary

• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, accreditation standards, and facility policies.
• Serve as a clinical resource and provide leadership support when needed.

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN license (or eligible for Wisconsin licensure by endorsement)
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred. Employer-paid certification is available upon hire if needed

Preferred Qualifications

Previous RN experience in hospital bedside nursing, procedural nursing, critical care, or an outpatient surgical setting is preferred, but not required.

Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:

• Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
• PACU or Same Day Surgery
• Interventional Radiology
• Cardiac Catheterization Lab
• Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Dialysis or Vascular Access
